In order to more quickly prepare your return it would help me if you would Email me your information in the following format:

1. Attach a Quicken, QuickBooks or Excel Spreadsheet
2. Attach a word document
3. Make copies of your 1099s, W-2, broker statement, property tax receipts, etc and scan them and Email them or fax them.  I have a laser fax with plenty of paper.
4. You can send them the "Old Fashioned" way by mailing or bringing your information by.

For new clients it is helpful to have your prior 3 income tax returns.  This allows me to look for any items from prior years, such as Capital Loss Carry forwards, Depreciation methods, Method of claiming business use of your automobile.
