In order to more quickly prepare your return it would help me if you would Email me your information in the following format:
- Attach a Quicken, QuickBooks or Excel Spreadsheet
- Attach a word document
- Make copies of your 1099s, W-2, broker statement, property tax receipts, etc and scan them and Email them or fax them. I have a laser fax with plenty of paper.
- You can send them the "Old Fashioned" way by mailing or bringing your information by.
For new clients it is helpful to have your prior 3 income tax returns. This allows me to look for any items from prior years, such as Capital Loss Carry forwards, Depreciation methods, Method of claiming business use of your automobile.
